Ash Brazill will miss Walyalup’s clash with North Melbourne this Sunday after the vice-captain suffered a groin injury during last Saturday’s game against the Brisbane Lions.

AFLW High Performance Manager Tom Sutherland provided an update on the defender, and said the Club is hopeful Brazill will be available for Round 4 against the Sydney Swans.

“Unfortunately, Ash has a low-grade groin injury,” Sutherland said.

“She will be out this weekend and hopefully back next weekend.”

Sutherland was hopeful for Tunisha Kikoak’s return this weekend, after the utility missed the Round 2 game against Brisbane due to a concussion sustained in Round 1.

“TK is tracking really well. She’s ticked off each hurdle from a concussion point of view,” Sutherland said.

“She’s still got to get through full contact training this week, so she’s a test, but we’re hoping she’ll be available.”

Defender Madi Scanlon has progressed with her rehab on her ankle injury she sustained during pre-season.

“Madi’s ankle has been progressing well,” Sutherland said.

“She’s pulled up quite well from her sessions recently, so she’s going to be a test for this weekend.”
