Fremantle High Performance Manager Phil Merriman says forward Sam Switkowski is a test to play in Saturday night’s Elimination Final against Gold Coast.
Switkowski suffered a contact injury to his right knee in the Club’s Round 24 clash with the Western Bulldogs.
The 28-year-old utilised the pre-finals bye to rest his knee.
Merriman confirmed Switkowski’s availability will depend on his fitness later in the week.
“He’s still progressing as expected,” Merriman said.
“He’s going to be a test this week to play.
“He obviously has to get through a few hurdles from those knocks to the knee, but hopefully we get him up for the game.”
Fremantle and Gold Coast will meet in the AFL’s Second Elimination Final on Saturday 6 September, with bounce down at 5.35pm WST at Optus Stadium.
