Fremantle have named Hayden Young in the middle, while Mason Cox, Michael Frederick, Nathan O'Driscoll, and Brandon Walker come into the extended squad of 26 for Sunday’s clash with West Coast at Optus Stadium.

Jaeger O’Meara (injured) and Sean Darcy (concussion) are the two to make way following their respective setbacks.

Cox, Neil Erasmus, Frederick, O’Driscoll, Chris Scerri, Walker, Corey Wagner and Karl Worner make up the eight-man extended bench, which will be trimmed to five on Friday.

09:24

Young is the reigning Glendinning-Allan Medallist and is named alongside Luke Jackson in the ruck and Caleb Serong in the midfield, as he returns for the first time since sustaining a hamstring injury in the Round 1 loss to Geelong.

Similarly, Walker could play for the first time since Round 1 if named tomorrow.

Cox, if named in the final team of 23 on Friday, will make his Club debut for Fremantle following his move from Collingwood.

Frederick could play his first senior game of the 2026 season if named on Friday, after overcoming an ankle injury late in pre-season.

If Serong wins the Glendinning-Allan Medal, it will be his fifth, making him the outright all-time leader and surpassing Fremantle’s Paul Hasleby, with whom he is currently tied on four.

44:58

Serong won his fourth Glendinning-Allan Medal in Round 3 last season, equalling Hasleby’s mark.

He first won the medal in 2021 and followed up with best-on-ground performances in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Fremantle have won the last three meetings between the two sides.

Fremantle’s final team of 23 will be named on Friday at 3.00pm WST at fremantlefc.com.au.

The game commences at 3.10pm WST on Sunday 19 April, and will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and Fox Footy, and streamed live on Kayo Sports and 7plus from 3.00pm WST.
