Defender Judd McVee has recovered from illness to be recalled to the team as the sole change for Thursday night’s Purple Hands Foundation Game against Hawthorn at Optus Stadium.
Winger Jeremy Sharp is the only omission from the side that beat the Western Bulldogs last Friday night.
McVee is named on the interchange bench alongside Mason Cox, Isaiah Dudley, Michael Frederick and Corey Wagner.
Luke Jackson will lead the ruck, with Hayden Young named on ball following his Round 8 second-half heroics, which saw him kick a Goal of the Year contender as one of his three goals, and 20 disposals.
Young is joined in the middle by co-vice-captains Caleb Serong and Andrew Brayshaw, while Neil Erasmus and Matthew Johnson will line up on the wings.
Sharp, Chris Scerri and Oscar McDonald have been named as the three emergencies.
The last two meetings between the sides have been decided by 13 points, as the second- and third-placed teams face off in what is expected to be one of the games of the round
The game commences at 6.10pm WST and will be broadcast live on 7mate from 5pm, on Fox Footy and Binge from 6.00pm, and streamed live on Kayo from 6.00pm and 7plus from 5pm.
The meeting with the Hawks will be the Club’s first Thursday night game of 2026, with the fifth annual Purple Hands Foundation Game presenting an opportunity for the community to raise funds for Fremantle’s charitable arm.
Around 50 dedicated volunteers will be on hand to distribute thousands of wristbands to the Freo family pre-game, setting the stage for a stadium-wide light show at the three-quarter-time break.
Proudly supported by Programmed, the activation will see Optus Stadium come alive in purple, creating a shared moment for everyone in attendance in a powerful visual display.
