Rory Lobb is looking to make to most of his three-week Christmas break to spend time with those close to him.

Lobb joined Fremantle in the 2018 NAB AFL Trade Period from GWS and has enjoyed settling back in to life in WA.

“The transition has been really smooth. I’ve seen a bit of the family and I hope to see more of them over Christmas,” Lobb said.

“The plan is to go up to Lancelin with them and spend a bit of time with Mum and Dad while I have a bit of time off and see as many family members as I can.

“I’m enjoying being back in WA. I went to my sister's birthday the other day and I have a lot of nieces and nephews, so it’s been really good.”

Lobb currently lives teammates Griffin Logue and Tobe Watson, with the trio all products of Swan Districts.

While Lobb didn’t play with either Logue or Watson, being five years older than the younger duo, they knew each other through mutual friends.

“We hinted that I would move in with Griffin if I got traded so it worked out well. When the trade went through he texted me to sort it all out,” Lobb said.

Lobb said he’s been impressed with what he’s seen from Logue so far at pre-season training.

“Griffin has really surprised me,” Lobb said.

“He’s obviously coming back from injury. The way he’s training has been unbelievable. For his size, the way he runs is really impressive.”
