Eleven Fremantle-listed players were in the line-up as Peel Thunder defeated West Perth by three-points on Saturday at Rushton Park.

In the reserves, Luke Valente played limited minutes for Peel in West Perth’s 63-point win.

Senior development coach Marc Webb runs through how each Fremantle-listed player fared.

MITCH CROWDEN
Played on ball for the majority of the game. He ended up with 32 possessions, seven clearances and seven inside 50s in a strong and hard effort on the ball. He also spent some time forward as well to continue his forward craft. He was certainly one of Peel’s better players on the day.

TOM NORTH
Played on ball for the game. He was another player who was really strong in the contest. He had six clearances, 11 tackles and he continues to build some really strong clearance work as well as his contested ball around the ground.

STEFAN GIRO
Played on the wing. His run was strong, he worked hard up and down the ground and ended up with 24 possessions and a goal.

SAM STURT
Played on the wing for the game which was the second time he’s played there in the past few weeks. He showed some good signs with his run and carry and ended up with 20 possessions and kicked a goal. He was strong pushing forward and he led well.

LLOYD MEEK
Played in the ruck and forward for the game. He ended up with 23 hitouts, was really strong around the contest and he keeps building his follow up with three clearances and 10 ground balls. It shows that he’s really working on his follow-up around the ground.

SAM SWITKOWSKI
Played forward for the game. Once again he showed really strong pressure with his tackle and chase and he releases hard forward. He really stood out again with 17 disposals, seven inside 50s and a goal.

JASON CARTER
Played across half back for the game. A feature was his run and overlap. He used the ball well and was also able to pressure and spoil. Jason keeps growing as that running half back that is able to push forward and kick a goal.

TOBE WATSON
Played back for the game. He played the majority of the game on Andrew Strijk in a good battle. Strijk was able to kick a few goals but Tobe was able to compete while back there and at times he gave us some good use from defence.

RYAN NYHUIS
Played back for the game. He was really strong defensively and he helped stop some of West Perth’s forward attacks. He pressured well in a good performance.

SCOTT JONES
Played in the ruck and forward. He had 34 hitouts in a good battle with West Perth’s Troy Yukich. Scott continues to show promising signs when he goes forward with a couple of strong marks and he kicked a goal. He also did well with his follow-up around the contest.

BRENNAN COX
Played forward on limited minutes in his first game back from injury. He showed some good signs in the first half, with some of good crumbing and follow up efforts in the forward 50. He kicked two goals and led and presented well.

LUKE VALENTE
Played his first game for the year in the reserves. Luke played inside and had 13 possessions in a half of football. He was good around the clearances and pushed forward where he was able to hit the scoreboard, kicking 1.2.
