Swapping positions has produced promising results for a couple of young talls and they both featured in the round seven Team of the Week.

After starting his career up forward, Darcy Moore has become a brilliant defender for Collingwood. Injuries have plagued him in the past but when he's flying for his marks, there are few better backmen to watch.

Then at the Western Bulldogs, the hype around Aaron Naughton is growing, quickly. He finished fourth in the best and fairest last year, his debut season, and was moved into attack out of necessity in a side bereft of scoring power.

He offered plenty of that last Saturday night, booting five goals to burst out of his quiet patch and take nine contested marks in an enthralling display.

Seven rounds in and the first player selected in the Virgin Australia AFL All Australian side at the moment could be Geelong backman Tom Stewart. One who could be alongside him in that 22 is Fremantle stoper Alex Pearce. There might not be a lot of recognition for Brad Sheppard but his influence surely isn't underestimated at West Coast. Zac Williams was zipping around with regularity for Greater Western Sydney, Moore was excellent and Gold Coast runner Jarrod Harbrow fought hard.

In a Brisbane midfield stacked with young talent, Hugh McCluggage could end up being the best of the lot. Scott Pendlebury was exceptional in the Magpies' win over Port Adelaide while teammate Tom Phillips ran himself ragged. Max Gawn had a big say as Melbourne overcame Hawthorn, Elliot Yeo starred in an uninspiring Eagles victory against the Suns and Tim Kelly showed what he can do when allowed to roam without close attention.

Whether it was gaining territory in wet conditions or applying immense pressure, Lions captain Dayne Zorko was exceptional as his side defeated Sydney. Jeremy Cameron is in superb touch, as is Marcus Bontempelli, who did it all as the Western Bulldogs beat Richmond. Gary Ablett is in form reminiscent of when he was the best player in the competition ,while Naughton looked like he held that mantle last Saturday night. Tom Papley produced some great highlights for the Swans, along with perhaps the toughest moment of the weekend, coming back on after being crunched by Oscar McInerney.

Hawks ball-winner Jaeger O'Meara was kept quiet by James Harmes, but there was no stopping Matt Crouch as he racked up the stats in Adelaide's slugfest with Fremantle. For North Melbourne, Ben Cunnington won it in the clinches and Ben Brown booted the goals
