Fremantle take on Essendon on Saturday night at Marvel Stadium, here are some interesting numbers to look out for.

12 marks
Connor Blakely will play his first AFL game in 336 days as he makes his return from a hamstring injury. The defender/midfielder played one of his career-best games the last time he faced the Bombers in round two, 2018 - racking up 12 marks in Freo’s win at Optus Stadium.

13 goals
Matt Taberner’s 13 goals against the Bombers in his career is almost double his total against any other team, having kicked seven against West Coast and six against Port Adelaide, Richmond, Brisbane and St Kilda.
In his most recent appearance against Essendon in round two, 2018, Taberner kicked four goals, had 11 contested possessions and 10 hitouts.

16 running bounces
Marvel Stadium is known for being a quick surface and the Bombers have been making the most of it at their home ground, ranking second in the AFL for running bounces.
The Bombers are led by their half backs Adam Saad and Conor McKenna. Saad has totalled 16 running bounces this season (fourth in the AFL) and McKenna has 11 (eighth in the AFL).
Bradley Hill leads Freo for running bounces this season with nine (16th in AFL).

60 per cent scoring efficiency
Ross Lyon recently called scoring efficiency the AFL’s most underrated statistic and he would be pleased to see Freo performing well in the stat.
With an overall scoring efficiency of 60 per cent, Freo ranks third in the AFL, kicking 93 goals and 63 behinds.
Here’s how Freo ranks by shot type.
