Fremantle Director of Performance Adam Beard has provided an update on the Club’s health ahead of the Round 16 game against Gold Coast on Sunday at Optus Stadium.

Midfielder Hayden Young came from the ground in the third quarter against Geelong on the weekend, but returned to play, and no injury update is required.

LOAD MANAGEMENT

Following the Round 14 bye, Fremantle has played just one game in 21 days.

The schedule has given us a good opportunity to get some solid loads into the players, but also to give them an opportunity to refresh and regenerate.

They've done really well, and we’ve had really good buy-in from the playing group.

TEST

Sam Sturt (knee/quad):

Sturty has done a fantastic job in his rehab. He’s hit a lot of milestones back in footy, so he'll be a test.
