Fremantle spearhead Jye Amiss has lauded the forward line’s unselfish nature following the win over Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.
Speaking after the 28-point win, in which Amiss himself kicked four goals, he said he loves playing in a unit that plays for one another.
When questioned about what the small forwards in Isaiah Dudley and Michael Frederick bring compared to the talls, Amiss said they play as one.
“They're so dynamic (Dudley and Frederick), and they work so well together,” Amiss said.
“They can play any role out there.
“That’s what I love about this forward line. It’s so unselfish, and I definitely love playing with them.”
Josh Treacy and Frederick both finished the day with three majors, while Pat Voss and Dudley each kicked one.
Dudley also enjoyed a career-high 18 disposals.
Amiss (43) and Treacy (44) are chasing their best ever goal kicking returns, with five home-and-away games remaining.
Amiss battled hard early in his matchup with Port Adelaide's Brandon Zerk-Thatcher but stuck to the process and finished the day with four majors.
“It was a really good fight, and I feel like I'm building my brand against those sorts of players,” Amiss said.
“I'm really starting to love the combat, so that's something I'm building into my game. Yeah, I'm loving the physicality.”
Fremantle will now face West Coast in Round 20 in Western Derby 63 in front of the Purple Army on Friday 24 July at 6.10pm, with the Club hosting the Derby.
