Fremantle have confirmed their final team of 23 to take on the Adelaide Crows at Optus Stadium tomorrow, Friday 14 August.
Lively forward Chris Scerri has been named to play his 8th AFL match of the season, replacing young forward/mid Murphy Reid, who has not recovered from a painful knock to his groin in time, but remains on track to return in Round 24.
Skipper Alex Pearce also returns to the team after being managed ahead of last weekend’s loss to Melbourne. Pearce will replace fellow defender Judd McVee who has been omitted.
Scerri has been named on the bench alongside Mason Cox, Neil Erasmus, Nathan O’Driscoll and Oscar McDonald.
Pearce will start at fullback with Brennan Cox and Heath Chapman joining him in the last line of defence.
Defender Luke Ryan will lineup for his 200th AFL game, becoming just the 13th Fremantle player to play 200 or more games for the Club.
Ryan has been named at centre-half-back with Jordan Clark and Karl Worner on either flank.
McVee, Tobyn Murray and Toby Whan have been named as the emergencies.
Speaking to the Club on Wednesday, Ryan said the achievement is one he didn’t think he’d ever reach and he’s still coming to terms with moving up on the games-played list filled with some of Club greatest players.
“I'm definitely not as good as them (the other Fremantle players to reach the milestone),” Ryan said.
“There are some absolute legends up there, and it's an honour to be up there with those names, not in that status, but it's going to be pretty cool to see my name up there and on the locker and all that sort of stuff.”
Friday night’s clash will also be the Club’s Retro and Member Thankyou Round.

Fremantle and Adelaide will commence at 6.10pm WST on Friday and will be broadcast live on Channel 7, 7mate, Fox Footy and streamed live on Kayo and Binge from 6.00pm WST.
