Scans have confirmed Fremantle defender Brennan Cox suffered a moderate calf strain in Saturday's loss to Carlton.
The injury occurred at the end of the first quarter at Marvel Stadium.
The 28-year-old will now be sidelined from Fremantle's Qualifying Final to be played against Hawthorn at Optus Stadium next Thursday night.
“It’s an unfortunate result for Brennan after an interrupted season and he'll now miss our Qualifying Final,” said Executive General Manager of Football Joe Brierty.
“We will assess all of the interventions possible to support Brennan’s recovery and look for him to be available post our first final.”
