Fremantle has confirmed two changes to the team to face Geelong in Friday night’s Semi Final at Optus Stadium.
Defender Brandon Walker comes out of the side after injuring his ankle in the Qualifying Final loss to Hawthorn, while midfielder/wingman Nathan O’Driscoll has been omitted.
Defender Judd McVee and utility Corey Wagner are the two inclusions.
McVee and Wagner have been named on the interchange bench alongside Mason Cox, Neil Erasmus and Hayden Young.
The three emergencies for the clash are O’Driscoll, Hugh Davies and Chris Scerri.
Wagner’s last AFL game was the Round 20 Western Derby win and he’s featured 13 times in 2026.
The 29-year-old has played 70 AFL games, but Friday night will be his first finals appearance.
Last season Wagner heartbreakingly missed the Club’s Elimination Final after requiring surgery on a torn pec in the final home-and-away game of the season.
Now in his eighth AFL season and with his third AFL club, Fremantle, Wagner will pull on the iconic chevrons in front of a packed Optus Stadium and Purple Army for his first-ever final.
McVee returns to the team after not featuring in last week’s qualifying final against the Hawks. The rebounding defender has played 21 games for Fremantle in his first season at the Club.
Retiring forward Sam Switkowski will line up on a half-forward flank next to Murphy Reid and Isaiah Dudley. Win or loss, Friday will be Switkowski’s last-ever game at Optus Stadium in front of the Freo faithful.
The winner of the clash will progress to take on the Sydney Swans at the SCG in a Preliminary Final, while the loser heads to the off-season.
The game will commence at 6.10pm WST and will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and Fox Footy from 5.00pm and streamed live on Kayo and Binge from 5.00pm and 7plus from 5.30pm.
