Fremantle take on Adelaide on Sunday at Metricon Stadium and will need to make at least one change with captain Nat Fyfe ruled out due to a hamstring injury.

Here’s who could come into the clash.

Connor Blakely and Blake Acres
One spot has opened up in the midfield with two players appearing the most likely Fyfe replacements.
Blakely hasn’t played since round 23 last season but has been on the cusp of selection since the season re-started earlier this month.
The 24-year-old has played as a half-back in recent years but returned to a midfield role at training during the pre-season, where he would most likely play if selected.
Due to injury, Acres is yet to play for Freo after arriving in the trade period from St Kilda. The one glimpse he has given Freo fans was an exciting one, racking up 31 disposals against Carlton in the Marsh Series.
Instead of trying to pick between them, Longmuir may decide to bring both in, with Acres capable of playing inside and on the wing, and Blakely capable of playing inside and at half back.

Sean Darcy
Freo’s number one ruckman seems a likely inclusion after recovering from a minor knee injury sustained in round two. Darcy took part in a practice match for non-selected players last Saturday against Gold Coast in a team comprised of Fremantle and Port Adelaide players. The return of Darcy would mean Rory Lobb can go back to his usual role as a key forward.

OPPOSITION: Test for Crows skipper

Sam Sturt
Sturt was initially expected to miss a month of football when he injured his ankle in round three, but after getting through Tuesday’s training session, the 20-year-old forward appears fit and ready to come back into the Fremantle lineup.
Sturt shone on debut against Essendon with three goals and earning the NAB AFL Rising Star nomination. His second AFL appearance didn’t go as smoothly, with two disposals in an injury-interrupted game against Port Adelaide.

Bailey Banfield
The 22-year-old is another in the mix to come into the forward line. Banfield was held over as an emergency against Gold Coast and did not take part in the practice match. He played in rounds one and two before being omitted in round three.

Taylin Duman
The 193cm Duman may be called upon to add some height to Freo’s backline, which is being tested due to the injuries to Alex Pearce and Joel Hamling. Like Banfield, Duman played in rounds one and two before his omission in round three.
