Josh Mellington (WP Reserves) 8 kicks, 6 marks, 2 goals
It was Josh’s second game back and he got through his required minutes as a high forward. There were times when he pushed high up the ground and gave some strong effort, but there were other times where he stayed as a deeper forward. Josh is hitting the scoreboard and is also getting some good minutes into him at the moment. He’s getting ready for his third game back after spending so long out, which is a positive for us.
Zac Clarke (EP) 8 disposals (4 kicks, 4 handballs) 4 tackles
Zac played the game as a forward with approximately one third of the game in the ruck. The positive was that he continued to go for his marks throughout the day. Over the past couple of weeks, he just needs to get back to judging the flight and using his physicality. The focus for Zac is on his marking, generating greater leading patterns and getting in the line of play more often.
Haiden Schloithe (SF) 14 disposals (8 kicks, 6 handballs) 3 marks, 1 goal
Haiden started the game on the ball, rotating as a high forward. He played the entire second half as a forward. When the ball was in his immediate vicinity he looked good. He also won his own ball in contests. He needs to constantly work harder to get to more contests.
