Luke Ryan remains a chance to play against Richmond on Wednesday at Metricon Stadium, according to general manager of football Peter Bell in this week’s Envision Medical Imaging injury update.

The defender came off late in Fremantle’s clash against GWS at Optus Stadium on Saturday after landing heavily in a marking contest and he faces a race against time to be ready to take on the Tigers with only a four-day break between games.

Ryan took part in a recovery session at Kurrawa Beach on Monday morning with his teammates and Bell said the 24-year-old was doing everything right to get up for the game.

“Luke’s a little bit sore and the long-haul flight probably didn’t help, but he’s improving with every hour,” Bell said.

“He’s been really diligent with his recovery and we’re hopeful that he’ll be fine for Wednesday night."

Bell said Travis Colyer was also a chance to return against Richmond. The midfielder last played for Fremantle against Hawthorn, where he sustained a hamstring injury.

“Trav had a good session on Saturday back in Perth,” Bell said.

“He got to a really high speed, it was a big session and he should be available for selection.”

Defender Griffin Logue remains a chance to play again this season as he recovers from a toe injury.

“Griffin’s going really well. He’s been really professional with his rehab and we’re hopeful that he’ll get an opportunity over the last couple of games,” Bell said.

Ruckman Lloyd Meek needs at least another week to recover from a calf injury sustained in a scratch match against Sydney more than a week ago.

“Lloyd’s doing well, we think that he’ll be available next weekend,” Bell said.

“It’s a bit funny with the condensed fixture but potentially, he will be available for selection around the North Melbourne game (in round 17).”
