The hour long tackling session on the sand was presided over by Sports Science Manager Jason Weber and Assistant Coach Chris Scott, with the players being put through their paces in a series of physical contest drills.

The group later explored Broome’s best fishing locations to test their angling ability. Senior Coach Mark Harvey was joined by Des Headland, Paul Hasleby, Rhys Palmer and new recruit Casey Sibosado amongst others and headed to Willie Creek, 40km north of Broome to cast their lines.
Hasleby had the most success with the reel, pulling in five fish while Palmer and Clayton Hinkley showed that as fisherman they make good footballers. Sibosado’s local knowledge also came in handy as the group caught two decent sized mud crabs.
