Fremantle have finalised their coaching structure for the 2021 season, adding two new faces to their ranks in Matthew Boyd and Joel Corey.

The changes will also see Tendai Mzungu transition from his Next Generation Academy Coaching role to become a Development Coach, after being part of Freo’s NGA program for the past three years since the role was created.

Development Coaches Roger Hayden and Simon Eastaugh will also be transitioning into new roles, with the pair moving into Fremantle’s Community Engagement area.

Hayden, who was recently awarded Life Membership, will assume a dual role of both NGA Coach and Indigenous & Multicultural Liaison Officer.

Hayden first took on a coaching role at Fremantle in 2012 and has now coached at the club for the past nine seasons.

Simon Eastaugh will become the Head of Community Engagement and assume primary responsibility for community engagement initiatives, including the club’s Next Generation Academy, Family Academy Programs, Community Coaching initiatives, Junior Talent Growth Programs and various Fan Development and Community engagement initiatives.

The former Fremantle ruckman has been part of the club’s coaching team since 2013.

Development Coach Marc Webb has not been offered a contract for the 2021 season. The club thanks Marc for his valuable contribution to the club during his tenure and we wish him the very best for the future.
