Key forward Matthew Taberner has been included in the team for Sunday’s AAMI Community Series clash against West Coast at Optus Stadium on Sunday after recovering from a minor quad injury.

The key forward sat out last Saturday’s scratch match against the Eagles at Lathlain Park.

Midfield duo Darcy Tucker and Connor Blakely also come into the team of 26 players, while Caleb Serong, Adam Cerra, Luke Ryan and Sam Switkowski were not named after being a part of the team of 27 that played last week.

Switkowski is one of four emergencies alongside Joel Western, Nathan Wilson and Taylin Duman.

OPPOSITION: See who is in for West Coast

Both Serong and Ryan have been rested due to general soreness while Adam Cerra comes out due to a calf strain.

“Adam Cerra has a minor calf strain out of last week's practice match," executive general manager of football Peter Bell said.

"While Adam, Caleb and Luke will sit out Saturday’s clash against West Coast we are expecting all three to be available for round one in two weeks’ time.”

The clash will be another opportunity for draftees Heath Chapman and Josh Treacy to push their case for a 2021 debut as well as untried ruckman Lloyd Meek, who impressed against West Coast in the scratch match.

Key defenders Alex Pearce and Joel Hamling have both been named to start on the field as they continue to build after missing the 2020 season due to injury.

Despite missing Cerra and Serong, Fremantle will go in with a strong midfield, led by experienced stars Nat Fyfe and David Mundy, as well as the emerging Andrew Brayshaw starting on the field.

Tucker will also strengthen the midfield as he plays his first minutes against AFL opposition since injuring his hamstring in round 8 against Geelong last season.

Bouncedown is at 4.10pm following an AFLW RAC Derby clash starting at 1.40pm.

Fremantle members with game access will get free entry to the double header, which includes all seated members, flexi members and AFLW members.

Members must still register for a free ticket via Ticketmaster for entry.

Non game-access members (i.e Purple Army members) and general public entry to the double header is encompassed in one $20 ticket ($15 for concession), while children under 15 are free but will still require a $0 ticket to enter the venue.
