Amy Franklin is a key position utility with plenty of upside heading into her first AFLW season.

Franklin displays excellent athleticism for a player of her size, who can play at both ends of the ground and has also shown she can pinch hit in the ruck.

She has a penetrating kick, can take contested marks and looks very capable of thriving in an AFL environment.

Trent Cooper’s comments
We’re rapt to select Amy with our first pick. It’s impossible to overlook a tall player with her athleticism that can play at both ends of the ground and has the potential to develop into a midfielder.

Someone with her height and athletic traits is really rare. We’re thrilled to have her on the list and look forward to seeing her develop into a long-term player for the Club.

Her grandfather is Ken Caporn, who was a former WAFL games record holder with Claremont (273).
