Fyfe was already regarded as one of the modern-day greats heading into this season, and 2019 was arguably his best season yet. Fyfe improved on all of his key stats from 2018 to 2019 and recorded a career-high average of 29.2 disposals per game. The season produced Fyfe’s second Brownlow Medal. With 33 votes, Fyfe eclipsed his 31-vote total in 2015 and won the count by six votes. He polled in 12 of his 20 matches and was given the maximum three votes nine times. Fyfe was also recognised with his third All Australian jacket, named captain of the All Australian team and won his third Doig Medal.
