Fremantle’s round 12 clash with Brisbane on Sunday 5 June will be the Club’s inaugural ‘Make Our Mark’ game for the Purple Hands Foundation. The game will recognise the incredible work of the Foundation in the WA community while aiming to raise funds for the programs that are having a genuine impact on people’s lives.

Since launching in December 2021, Purple Hands has brought many programs to life that are making a real difference in the community.

A few of these projects include the highly successful Kimberley 9’s carnival and  Goals aHead - a mental health education program for year 8 students run in partnership with Zero 2 Hero.

At this weekend’s game, there will be a fundraising drive asking fans to contribute $10 to help get behind these and future projects planned to support the WA community. Fans can look out for the QR codes displayed on screens in the stadium, or head to the Freo Dockers App on game day to make their mark via a $10 contribution.

Every $10 donation has the potential to go a long way:

  • $4000 provides up to 60 school children with access to an 8 week mental health program that educates and empowers young people to develop their understanding of mental health issues and delivers skills to identify, manage and seek support for mental health issues
  • $1000 provides 10 regional and remote students transport, food and accommodation to participate in the Kimberley 9s Football program, a program delivering positive social and community outcomes in regional WA.
  • $2000 provides football equipment, uniforms and a coach to deliver inclusive programs for people with a disability providing a safe and inclusive environment to participate.
  • $1,000 will provide food and support for up to 30 disadvantaged local youth participating in the Intercept Youth Diversion program, to tackle youth crime, per month.

We look froward to the Purple Army getting behind this special initiative to make the first Purple Hands “MAKE OUR MARK” game a huge success.
