Fremantle captain Nat Fyfe has questioned the reasoning behind what he has described as unhelpful commentary around the club’s injury management.

Fyfe rebuffed reports that suggested that there were concerns from the playing group about injuries at the club.

This Thursday, Fremantle have their annual meeting with AFL Players’ Association CEO Paul Marsh, a meeting that was incorrectly reported as being called to discuss the club’s injury management.

“I’m not sure a lot of that commentary has much substance or is helpful at all,” Fyfe said on Triple M on Sunday.

“If you look at our injury list compared to other AFL team injury lists, I think Collingwood would have 17 or 19, we have nine or 10.

“I know internally, our doctors and medico staff are doing everything they can.

“Where some of those comments come from, I’m not exactly sure.

“I know internally, our doctors and our physios are doing whatever they can.

“They look across the country, they look internationally if they have to, to try and find the best ways to rehab and bring guys back.”
