This year was Max Knobel's first year in an elite pathway at NAB League level and he showed considerable improvement as the year progressed.
At 206cm, he's a great height and possesses significant upside as his body develops.
His form for Gippsland in the NAB League was rewarded with selection as Vic Country's leading ruckman, playing all four games in the U18 Championships.
He has impressive ruck craft, jumps well and is a neat left foot kick of the football.
Knobel has also shown scope to develop as a key forward at times this year.
He is the son of Trent Knobel, who played 75 AFL games across Brisbane, St Kilda and Richmond.
