POSITION: Key Defender
HEIGHT: 197cm
WEIGHT: 90kg
DRAFTED FROM: Peel Thunder

Josh Draper is a graduate of Fremantle's Tyrepower Next Generation Academy and an athletic tall from Peel Thunder.

An ankle injury disrupted his year but he returned in time to be an important member in Peel's colts premiership winning side, gathering 13 disposals and kicking a goal in the win.

Draper missed the whole U18 Championships this year through injury but represented the state at U17 level last year.

A versatile player, Draper has played in a number of positions, including as a key forward, ruck and even as a midfielder.

Arguably his best game this year was his first game back from injury when he played as a key defender and gathered 14 disposals, eight intercept possessions and three spoils in the win in round 20 against Swan Districts.

A freakish athlete for his size, Draper plays with impressive awareness and has significant upside given he comes from a state-level basketball background.
