Fremantle captain Alex Pearce will miss Saturday’s pre-season Indigenous All Stars clash at Optus Stadium due to a minor ankle injury.
Pearce had been selected to represent the Indigenous All Stars.
The 29-year-old tweaked his left ankle during Friday’s intraclub match and following scans over the weekend, the Club has decided the key defender will be unavailable on Saturday.
Fremantle will assess Pearce’s availability for the next intraclub game on Sunday 23 February and the Club’s second official pre-season hit out against Melbourne on Sunday 2 March.
Fremantle play the Indigenous All Stars on Saturday 15 February at Optus Stadium, with bouncedown at 4.30pm WST.
