Walyalup have confirmed their final team of 23 to take on the GWS Giants in Saturday’s Sir Doug Nicholls Round clash at ENGIE Stadium, with Bailey Banfield returning to the side as the sole change.

Banfield joins the team, replacing Sean Darcy (injured) who is out of the side with a knee complaint.

Banfield has kicked five goals in his last two appearances for Peel Thunder in the WAFL, including a three-goal outing alongside his 19 disposals, six tackles, and five marks in Peel’s 46-point win over West Perth at the weekend.

The 27-year-old has been named on the bench alongside Neil Erasmus, Murphy Reid, Cooper Simpson, and Corey Wagner.

Luke Jackson has been named in the ruck in place of Darcy, while Pat Voss, Josh Treacy, and Jye Amiss have all been named in the forward line.
Saturday will be just the second time Treacy has played GWS in his 65-game career.

Shai Bolton has been named in the centre after his impressive 28 disposals, nine clearances, and a goal against Collingwood in Round 9. Matthew Johnson and Jeremy Sharp have been named as the starting wingmen.

Simpson will play his second consecutive game for Walyalup after his 18-disposal, six-mark effort across half-back in his third senior AFL game against Collingwood.

Walyalup will wear the Club’s newly unveiled 2025 Indigenous jumper, designed by Jeff Farmer - alongside his Father Jeff Farmer Snr, Mother Iris, and in collaboration with Roger Hayden.

The design pays tribute to Farmer’s footballing journey and the history of Indigenous people in the Great Southern region of Western Australia.

The jumper will also be worn in Walyalup’s home Sir Doug Nicholls Round game against Yartapuulti (Port Adelaide) in Round 11.

James Aish, Oscar McDonald, and Liam Reidy have been named as the emergencies for the clash.

The tactical substitute will be announced one hour before the game on Saturday.

Bounce down is scheduled for 2.15pm WST.

The game will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and Fox Sports 3 and streamed live on 7plus and Kayo from 2.00pm WST.
