Fremantle defender Jordan Clark says he doesn’t think about personal accolades and credit’s his own performances to teammates around him.
Clark was named in the All-Australian squad of 44 for the first time in 2024 and has put together another outstanding 2025 campaign, averaging 24.6 disposals at 75.6% efficiency, 5.4 rebound 50s, 5.2 marks, 3.1 tackles and 491.6 metres gained.
Speaking at his Tuesday afternoon media conference, Clark explained that he benefits from the entire backline’s hard work.
“I don’t really read into my individual performances that much to be honest,” Clark said.
“I’m just a product of the team.
“I’ve taken confidence from my consistency and playing in a backline group that prides itself on performing when we are under the pump.
“That has really helped me, and like I said, I’m a product of the boys around me.
“I’ve really enjoyed how the backline has played this year and it’s a privilege to be a part of it.”
Speaking on the run to finals, Clark acknowledged that although the team has been finding ways to win - often coming from behind at three-quarter time - there is still plenty work to be done.
“Winning is always a good place to be. We haven’t been perfect, but we are finding ways to win, so being on the right side of the ledger is always positive,” Clark said.
“We know we’ve got a bit of work left in front of us to improve our game and add some finishing touches.”
Fremantle head to South Australia later this week for a Round 22 clash with Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval, with Clark saying the team is preparing for Port’s best.

“There’s a bit of emotion around them at the moment,” said Clark.
“Ken (Hinkley) is finishing up, and (Travis) Boak announced his retirement today, so we expect their best.
“They’ve got some really good players in there and it’s always tough at the Adelaide Oval.
“We won’t be taking anything lightly or for granted, that’s for sure.”
Fremantle has won two of the last five meetings with Port Adelaide, including this year’s Round 11 clash at Optus Stadium by 49 points.
