Fremantle has confirmed their final team of 21 to take on Carlton this Friday evening, headlined by the return of defender Jess Low.

Low will play her first game since Round 4, after sustaining a concussion in the clash with Sydney, and has been named in the backline alongside Ash Brazill, Indi Strom, Indi West and Emma O’Driscoll.

The defender replaces Poppy Stockwell in the line-up, who has been omitted for the clash and listed as an emergency alongside Dana East and Phil Seth.

Fremantle’s interchange consists of Gabby O’Sullivan, Laura Pugh, Holly Ifould, Tunisha Kikoak and Gabby Biedenweg-Webster.

Senior Coach Lisa Webb spoke to media on Wednesday morning before the squad departed for Melbourne, touching on how the side will prepare for Carlton.

The last time Fremantle and Carlton matched up in Round 7 last season, saw Carlton gain the lead in the dying minutes of the game, to win by four points.

“They’re a really good team. We played them last year and they beat us in the last minutes of the game,” Webb said.

“(They are) a really quick team, and their Irish players are playing really good footy and they’ve got great players all over the ground.

“I’d expect a very physical battle against a really good team in good form.”

Webb spoke about what it means to the group to be able to hit the road for a 10-day trip in Melbourne.

“(It’s a) business trip for us. We really want to focus on getting those four points for each game,” Webb said.

“We’ve recruited a lot of Victorians as well so it’s really nice for them to be able to get home to their family as well.

“We’re a really connected group – we love getting away together.”

Bouncedown on Friday is at 5.05pm EST at Ikon Park in Melbourne.

The game will be broadcast live on 7mate and Fox Sports, and streamed live on Kayo, Binge and 7plus from 5pm EST.
