Fremantle have finalised their list ahead of Monday evening’s 2025 AFLW Draft, entering the night with three available list spots and selections 35, 40 and 45.

Six players have recently put pen to paper on new deals that will see them remain in purple through 2026 and beyond, securing a blend of experience and youth.

62-gamer Sarah Verrier has signed a three-year deal, while defenders Jess Low and Indi Strom have each committed for at least the next 2 seasons.

Fremantle have also secured star midfielder Kiara Bowers, and defenders Madi Scanlon and Indi West, who have signed on until at least the end of 2026.

Fremantle AFLW List Manager Darryn Fry said the Club was thrilled to lock away such a strong and balanced group ahead of the 2026 season.

“As a Club, we’re incredibly proud to retain this calibre of talent,” Fry said.

“Each of these players bring something different to our program and they all play an important role in driving our standards every day.”

The six re-signings add to a significant core of senior players already locked in, including Gabby Newton, Emma O’Driscoll, Ange Stannett, Hayley Miller, Aish McCarthy, Gabby O’Sullivan, Orlagh Lally, Mim Strom, Ash Brazill, Laura Pugh, Meg Kauffman, Áine Tighe and Bella Smith, who all remain committed on existing deals.

Fry said the stability among the senior group would be a major asset heading into 2026.

“We’ve now got a really strong backbone of senior players who are not just experienced, but deeply invested in what we’re building,” Fry said.

Alongside them, Fremantle’s young talent in Tunisha Kikoak, Georgie Brisbane, Tilly Banfield, Holly Egan and Evie Parker are also committed on existing deals.

Following a productive AFLW Trade Period, Fremantle added star key forward Eden Zanker on a four-year deal, in addition to talented young running defender Lily Johnson, while Irish Rookie Aoife Healy will be an exciting acquisition to the team with her athleticism.

“We’re really pleased to welcome Eden, Lily and Aoife to the Club and to see them in purple in the new year,” Fry said.

With three draft picks in hand, Fremantle enter Monday night’s AFLW Draft with flexibility and confidence as they look to round out their 2026 squad.
