The Fremantle Football Club has reported an operating profit of $0.55 million for the 2025 financial year. This result was achieved after paying a $1.51 million royalty to WA Football. The Club recorded a statutory profit of $2.53 million which includes $1.98 million in development revenue received from the WA State Government, the AFL, and WA Football.

These grants received in 2025 supported the expansion of the Club’s training and administration facility at Cockburn Central, delivering elite infrastructure for its AFLW program.

The stateoftheart AFLW and community changerooms, as well as a 250seat spectator viewing area and new coaches’ boxes at Cockburn Central, were completed in September 2025, representing a total capital investment of more than $7 million.

The Club achieved its highest‑ever turnover of $83.6 million, driven by AFL record match‑day ticket sales and premium hospitality revenue, alongside a top‑three AFL league ranking for average home‑game attendance behind only Collingwood and Carlton.

Since the commencement of the Club’s Strategic Plan in 2021, Fremantle’s net cash has increased $5 million to sit above $7 million in reserves, while continuing to invest in major capital projects during this period.

Club President Chris Sutherland said the Club's reserves enable strategic investment in its facilities, people and operations, demonstrating financial discipline and commitment to long-term sustainable growth.

“Delivering consistent profitability while continuing to invest in our people, programs and facilities was a core focus of the 2021–25 Strategic Plan,” Sutherland said.

“The completion of the facility expansion is a significant milestone for our Club and demonstrates our commitment to providing elite environments for our AFLW program and the broader community.”

“Importantly, these results ensure the Club is well positioned to pursue sustained onfield success across both programs, while remaining financially strong, and provide a platform for further investment into the future.”

The 2025 result marks the Club’s fifth consecutive year of positive operating performance since the launch of the 2021–25 Strategic Plan demonstrating a sustained period of strong financial management and performance. During the same period the Club made a significant contribution to the WA Football ecosystem by paying $8.74 million to WA Football in royalty payments.
