With the 2026 AFL season underway, Fremantle and RAC have united to bring the inaugural Road Safety Game to life in Round 3 against Richmond at Optus Stadium.
As Fremantle’s Official Road Safety Partner, following the elevated partnership announced in October last year, Fremantle and RAC have come together to drive change on and off the field.
Together, Freo and RAC are delivering vital road safety awareness and education to footy fans, empowering everyone to play their part in reducing the devastating impact of road trauma across our state.
In 2025, 184 lives were lost on WA roads, and RAC is advocating for all road users to play their role and make a game plan to get home safe.
By teaming up, we’re harnessing the spirit of footy to help ensure every fan gets home safely after the game.
Come game day, Saturday 28 March, Freo and RAC will have a range of activations taking place around Optus Stadium, all aimed at raising awareness of safer behaviour on WA roads.
RAC’s Hot Shot Challenge - Lobby 101
Footy fans have a chance to test their handball skills and road safety knowledge by taking part in RAC's Hot Shot challenge with sticker sheets up for grabs.

When you're ready to head home from Optus, please take it easy on the roads. Slow down, keep your distance and make sure your lights are on. Let’s enjoy the game and make sure we all get home safe after the final siren!
