Exciting forward Georgie Brisbane has signed a two-year contract extension to remain at Fremantle until the end of season 2028.
The 19-year-old was Fremantle’s first pick at No.14 in the 2024 AFLW Draft and played 11 of 12 games last season, often against the best defenders in the competition.
“We’re brewing something good at this Club and it’s definitely the place I want to be for the next couple of years, so the decision was quite easy for me,” Brisbane said.
AFLW List Manager Darryn Fry announced the young forward’s contract extension to the playing group this morning.
“We’re excited about the road ahead for Georgie, working with our forwards, she is such an exciting prospect,” Fry said.
Brisbane, who hails from Victoria, has committed to life in the west for a further two seasons.
“Initially, coming over from Melbourne being the new girl and away from family and friends, the way the girls and the staff welcomed me into the Club, it made Perth and Fremantle home really quickly,” Brisbane said.
“I want to be a strong, reliable and consistent target for the girls (up forward).”
Fremantle’s AFLW season begins against Port Adelaide at Cockburn Arc Oval on Sunday 16 August.
