South Australia's first Origin game in 28 years will be held on February 27 next year, with the Croweaters to face Western Australia in Perth.
After missing out last year when WA and Victoria played in Origin's return after a 27-year absence, South Australia will face WA at Optus Stadium on Saturday February 27 from 4.40pm WST.
The match is two weeks later than last year's AFL Origin game and fits with the later start of the 2027 premiership season, which will begin on either March 17 or 18.
The AFL confirmed last month that the 2027 season will face a later than normal start due to the 150th anniversary cricket Test match between Australia and England on March 11-15, with the Grand Final to be held on Saturday 2 October.
The next three Origin fixtures were confirmed back in July, with SA to follow next year's game against WA with a clash against Victoria at Adelaide Oval in 2028 before WA play Victoria again at Optus Stadium in 2029.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT AFL ORIGIN
The match will mark 50 years since the first ever Origin match back in 1977. WA and SA have not played under Origin rules since 1998.
"We are thrilled to officially confirm a date for AAMI AFL Origin in 2027, with Western Australia and South Australia set to reignite one of football’s greatest rivalries next February," AFL CEO Andrew Dillon said.
"Optus Stadium provided an incredible stage for AFL Origin's return earlier this year and we look forward to continuing to build on that momentum as we prepare for a meeting of two proud football states in Perth.
"We know football fans around the country will embrace the opportunity to celebrate the history, rivalry and unique spectacle that is AFL Origin.
"Thank you to Premier Roger Cook and the Western Australian Government for their support in delivering one of the highlights of the football calendar."
The coaches and players for both sides will be confirmed over the coming months.
Tickets will go on sale on Ticketmaster from December 2 for club members and December 3 for the general public.

South Australia and Adelaide Oval will then play host to the 2028 AFL Origin, with South Australia taking on Victoria as the two proud footballing states go head-to-head for the first time since 1999.
