Fremantle face the Western Bulldogs on Sunday at Marvel Stadium.
Here’s who could come in for the clash.
Nat Fyfe
If declared fit after an elbow infection, Nat Fyfe would be an obvious inclusion. Fyfe last played for Fremantle against Hawthorn a fortnight ago, where he was Freo’s best with three goals and 24 disposals. The Fremantle captain trained with the team on Wednesday and is likely to play if he gets through Friday’s main training session.
Bailey Banfield
The midfielder was named the WAFL player of the week following his 30 disposal, 12 tackle and two goal performance for Peel against East Fremantle. Banfield has averaged 14 disposals from four games in the AFL and 25.2 disposals per game in the WAFL this season.
Mitch Crowden
Crowden was another young midfielder who impressed for Peel last weekend. The 20-year-old had 26 touches in the midfield while laying nine tackles and kicking a goal. Crowden has played one AFL game this season with 16 disposals against West Coast.
Jason Carter
Carter was named as an emergency for Fremantle last week against the Swans, with the category B rookie pick now available for selection since his elevation to the senior list this month. The speedy defender/winger played well for Peel against East Fremantle, picking up 20 disposals, taking five marks and delivering three inside 50s.
Travis Colyer
The midfielder has been in and out of the Fremantle lineup this season, playing 10 games and averaging 14.5 disposals. The 28-year-old’s pace could be useful on the quick Marvel Stadium surface, where he has played the bulk of his 97 games to date after starting his career at Essendon.
Ryan Nyhuis
The defender put in another strong performance for Peel, taking nine marks alongside his 16 disposals and three tackles. Nyhuis has played four AFL games this season, last appearing for Fremantle against Hawthorn a fortnight ago.
Lachie Schultz
The small forward was held over as an emergency and did not play for Peel at the weekend. In his most recent WAFL appearance, Schultz kicked two goals to go with his 22 disposals and was named among Peel’s best against East Perth.
