In 2013, the club’s formal charity partnership policy saw Lifeline WA and Motor Neurone Disease Association of Western Australia join the club as associate charity partners.

Leading into season 2014, the policy has changed from ‘Associate Charity Partners’ to ‘Community Event Partners’ to allow the club to be involved in a wider range of community and charity activities throughout the year.

Six community event partners will be selected to sit alongside the club’s long-term principal charity partners: Starlight Children’s Foundation, Redkite and Constable Care Child Safety Foundation.

These community event partnerships will be reviewed annually, and the club will select and support one marquee event for each organisation in 2014.

Organisations that are interested in applying are required to identify a signature event, campaign or cause they believe the club can help raise awareness for, through the use of the Fremantle Dockers brand and/or the use of a Fremantle player ambassador.

The Fremantle Dockers understand that it is increasingly important for charities and community groups to develop new and creative ways to raise awareness for the services they provide.

This is why campaigns that leverage the Fremantle Dockers brand can be so effective and why we encourage you to apply to become a community event partner.

With the assistance of the Fremantle Dockers profile, we could help your organisation:

  • Build community involvement for a specific event, service or cause
  • Bring attention to particular issues such as social inequality or health issues
  • Increase brand awareness for the charity

As a Community Event Partner of the club you will receive:

  • A 2014 sublimated signed Fremantle jumper for fundraising (i.e raffle/ auction/ competition)
  • 10 match tickets to a club-selected home game in 2014
  • Partnership promotion via club digital channels (Website, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube)
  • An official Fremantle player ambassador for the event/ cause/ campaign
  • Use of the ambassador’s image to promote the event/ cause/ campaign
  • Use of an official appearance by the player ambassador*

*Subject to club training schedules and fixtures

Please note appearances cannot occur during the players’ leave period during October and November.

Consideration must also be given to the players’ training and playing schedules during the AFL season as any football commitments will have first priority.

Applications must be submitted by Friday 15 November, 2013
