Fremantle will need to make at least three changes when they take on St Kilda on Saturday at Metricon Stadium.

Key defender Griffin Logue (toe), defender Reece Conca (hamstring) and key forward Jesse Hogan (calf) have all been ruled out due to injury.

Here’s who could come in for the clash.

Nat Fyfe
An obvious one - if Fyfe is fit, he’s in. The Fremantle captain picked up a minor hamstring injury in round four against Gold Coast and missed last week’s win against Adelaide.
General manager of football Peter Bell said Fyfe had ‘progressed really quickly’ and would face a fitness test for selection.

Brennan Cox
Similar to Fyfe, Cox will return if he passes a fitness test.
The 194cm defender will be crucial to a backline already missing Logue, Alex Pearce and Joel Hamling.
Cox has missed the past two games due to a hip injury. He last played against Port Adelaide in round three, where he took five marks and had 15 disposals.

Blake Acres
Last week, Longmuir said Acres would need one more week to build his fitness as he recovered from a calf cork injury.
The midfielder’s selection may not just depend on his own fitness, but that of Nat Fyfe. Even if Fyfe is fit, Acres may find a way into the team, but it would be a tough decision for Longmuir with some strong performances from Freo’s mids in round five.
Due to injury, Acres is yet to play for Freo after arriving in the trade period from St Kilda. The one glimpse he has given Freo fans was an exciting one, racking up 31 disposals against Carlton in the Marsh Series.

Connor Blakely
Similar to Acres, Blakely’s selection may depend on Nat Fyfe’s fitness.
While Blakely trained as a midfielder in the pre-season, his time at half back in recent seasons may see him return to the role as a replacement for Conca.
Blakely hasn’t played since round 23 last season but has been one of a number of midfielders in contention for selection since the season re-started earlier this month.
Both Blakely and Acres played a full game in a scratch match for non-selected players against Adelaide on Sunday and the pair were among Freo’s best in the middle.

Travis Colyer
Colyer was a last-minute withdrawal against Adelaide due to a migraine. Bell said that the forward had since recovered well and would be available for selection pending getting through training this week.
Colyer played the opening four games of the season and was replaced by defender Taylin Duman against Adelaide, which resulted in Longmuir changing the roles of a number of players at the last minute.
Despite not being initially selected, Duman performed well against Adelaide and may retain his place due to the injuries to fellow defenders Logue and Conca.

Tobe Watson
The 190cm defender may get his opportunity to debut due to the injuries to Logue and Conca. Watson arrived at Fremantle ahead of the 2019 season in the rookie draft. He was one of Freo’s stronger defenders in the scratch match for non-selected players against Adelaide.

Bailey Banfield
After playing in rounds one and two, Banfield has been named as an emergency for rounds three onwards. The forward has averaged 10.5 disposals from those two appearances with a goal against Brisbane.

Brandon Matera
Matera has kicked a goal in each of his three appearances this season between rounds two and four. The forward was omitted for round five and played in the scratch match against Adelaide, where he snapped an impressive goal from the pocket after taking a diving mark.

Cam McCarthy
McCarthy may come in as replacement for Hogan as a forward who can play up the ground. The 25-year-old hasn’t played since round one and spent a short period away from full training after his epilepsy diagnosis. McCarthy covered plenty of ground in the scratch match against Adelaide, often playing on the wing.
