Fremantle CEO Simon Garlick has given an update on how members can get access to this Sunday’s RAC Derby at Optus Stadium.

Ticket sales for the game were placed on hold last Tuesday pending the WA Government’s review, and subsequent announcement on Friday, that there would be a delay in moving to Phase 5 restrictions, which would have allowed a capacity crowd.

Instead, the game will be capped at 50 per cent capacity.

Garlick said that members who had done a Platinum Pledge or Silver Pledge as a part of the club’s Forever Project would be able to register for tickets from Wednesday.

“There’s a ticketing registration and allocation process for our members through Ticketmaster that starts on Wednesday, so essentially what we’ll look to do is give our platinum pledgers first opportunity from 9am on Wednesday where they’ll be able to register for tickets,” Garlick told 6PR.

“Then those who are silver pledgers, who were good enough to help us out as well, get an opportunity. So that happens from 1pm Wednesday.”

Garlick said that members who bought tickets in a pre-sale would have those tickets cancelled and refunded, but added that those people will be contacted regarding an opportunity to purchase new tickets from Thursday.

“There was quite a number of our members in a pre-sale last Monday before ticket sales were called off who bought tickets, so they also need to be refunded, and those people will get an opportunity from Thursday,” Garlick said.

“We’ll be emailing and SMSing all those people from tomorrow onwards with all of the detailed information.

“So those people who bought on Monday of last week will get an opportunity on Thursday prior to anyone else.

“If there are any remainders, which we doubt there will be left overs, then general public will have an opportunity from Friday morning, 9am via Ticketmaster.”
