On Saturday 9 April, a club champion became a Fremantle legend when Matthew Pavlich took to AAMI Stadium for his 239th AFL game - overtaking Shane Parker’s club games record of 238 appearances.

Mark Harvey was quoted as saying he didn’t think Pav’s record would be broken. Not for a very long time, anyway.

Making the occasion all the more special, Freo got up for an inspiring victory over the Crows in South Australia - the state Pav grew up in.

One lucky fan got the opportunity to own a part of Pav’s magnificent milestone when the champion's No. 29 guernsey he wore against Adelaide went up for auction.

Pavlich personally hand signed the guernsey, adding to the prestige of the wonderful item of memorabilia.

Thank you for all the bids and make sure you keep an eye on Freo's AFL Auction's site for more great items.
