Forward Jack Anthony replaces the suspended Hayden Ballantyne, who will sit out the next two games.
Star midfielder David Mundy has been named as an emergency, along with Alex Silvagni and Jay van Berlo.
Fremantle assistant coach Simon Lloyd said Anthony, who missed round 1 with a minor calf problem, would slot nicely back into Freo’s attack.
“Jack was one of our better forwards in the last NAB Cup game against Hawthorn,” Lloyd said.
“He’ll provide a strong target and, with the conditioning that he’s had over the summer, it means he can get to more contests.
“And his team defensive pressure has improved ten-fold.”
Lloyd said the three-pronged attack of Anthony, Matthew Pavlich and Kepler Bradley had worked well in the pre-season and he was confident the trio would continue to give Fremantle a strong avenue to goals, even on the small SCG.
“A lot of teams in the AFL are going for the three-pronged forward line these days,” he said.
“You look at Pavlich, and even Jack and Kepler, they are very mobile.
“There’s a good chemistry between all six of our forwards at the moment.”
Lloyd said Fremantle would have to work for one another to beat the disciplined Swans on Saturday.
“Sydney has been a strong team for a period of time and they’ve got some quality players,” Lloyd said.
“We’ve got to ensure we play our brand of football, which is about effort.”
Fremantle won a thriller at the SCG against the Swans when the teams last met in round 17 last year.
