Form-line

GWS (18th) - L L L L L L W L L L L L L L L
The selection table
Freo - Ross Lyon has indicated that Zac Dawson is unlikely to play. Antoni Grover hurt himself in the warm-up last week and missed the game against the Demons. If he’s ok, he could keep his spot as the second defensive tall, although Peter Faulks was very impressive in the WAFL on the weekend. Lachie Neale and Nick Lower could also come back.
GWS - The Giants have confirmed No. 1 draft pick Jon Patton will be rested, while former Freo Docker Rhys Palmer is in doubt after copping a high knock last week. Kevin Sheedy has rested his young players and veterans often this season so expect changes at selection time.
Who’s hot
Freo - Michael Walters: Walters was superb in his return game last week. He should get plenty of opportunities to score and create goals against the youthful Giants.
GWS - Toby Greene: The tiny midfielder has been a shining light this season, averaging 26 disposals. He had 30 touches in the 119-point loss to Adelaide last week.
X-Factor
Freo - David Mundy: A fit and firing David Mundy adds a whole new dimension to Freo’s midfield. He was brilliant against Melbourne and looks close to regaining his best form.
GWS - Callan Ward: In such a youthful line-up, it’s up to the few senior players GWS has to stand up on a weekly basis. Ward is a quality midfielder and has been in good form this season. He’ll need to stand tall in the engine room if the Giants are to make a match of it on Sunday.

Key match-ups
Matthew Pavlich v Tim Mohr - The strong GWS defender will have his hands full against the in-form Pavlich, who has booted 24 goals in his past five matches. If Freo’s midfield dominates, it will be a long day for the Giants’ defence.
Ryan Crowley v Callan Ward - A senior member of his side’s midfield, Ward is in form and can expect Crowley to walk to him at the first bounce.
Toyota AFL Dream Team
Freo - Michael Barlow: Barlow is a ball-magnet and should find plenty of the Sherrin on Sunday. After six 100-plus games in succession, he’s scored 95 and 80 in the past fortnight. If he’s in your team, he could be a solid smoky choice as captain as Barlow is unlikely to be held back for long.
GWS: Toby Greene: With Ward likely to get the Crowley tag, Greene may be the more likely of the GWS midfielders to register a decent score. He’s tallied 125 and 121 in his past two matches.
