Thanks to the support from our fans who voted, young gun Nat Fyfe’s miraculous left-footed banana goal from the pocket in round 8 was unanimously chosen as the AFL Goal of the Week.

There was never any doubt Fyfe’s goal was going to win - he polled a remarkable 69 per cent of the vote.



Fyfey’s pearler capped off a great run of AFL Goal of the Week success from the boys in purple in 2011 - he was Freo’s third winner in nine rounds of action.

Excitement-machine Hayden Ballantyne’s goal that finished off a brilliant passage of play in round 2 and Jay van Berlo’s stunning solo effort in round 5 also brought home the bacon.



Thanks to you, our proud and passionate fans who voted, Freo’s hatrick of AFL Goal of the Week winners means we stand a good chance of taking out the 2011 AFL Goal of the Year, which will be awarded at the end of the season.

Let’s hope the boys can keep kicking standout majors in 2011, starting with St Kilda on Saturday!
