Taylin Duman is no guarantee to line up against North Melbourne on Saturday as he races against the clock to recover from a rolled ankle, according to general manager of football Peter Bell in this week’s Envision Medical Imaging injury update.

The defender picked up the injury in the third quarter of Fremantle’s win against Melbourne on Monday and Bell said he was no certainty to play.

“Taylin tweaked his left ankle. He just rolled it in the second half against Melbourne,” Bell said.

“It’s pulled up really well, but with a five-day turnaround, it will be a genuine test as to his availability.”

Midfielder Brett Bewley will also be a test to return as he recovers from a minor groin injury.

“Brett had a bit of rest and that’s done him a world of good,” Bell said.

“We’re hopeful that he’ll be able to train on Thursday and we’ll see if he’s available.”

In positive news for Freo’s backline, Griffin Logue continues to stay on track for a return this season, however if he does play, it will be in Fremantle’s final game against the Western Bulldogs in 10 days' time.

“Griffin is training really well,” Bell said.

“He’s got a few little things to tick off but he’s back with the main group.

“He’ll participate in training for the rest of the week and we’ll see as to his availability.”

Bell added that ruckman Lloyd Meek was ‘good to go’ to be available for selection as he recovers from a calf injury sustained in a scratch match against Sydney in August.
