Five Fremantle players have polled coaches’ votes following their round 13 win against Gold Coast at Optus Stadium on Saturday.

Polling nine votes, Sean Darcy had yet another stand-out performance in the ruck with 40 hit-outs, 17 disposals, seven clearances and a goal.

Darcy finished the match with the most clearances of any Fremantle player on the ground, getting his own ball out of the contest to help set up Fremantle’s attack with seven score involvements.

James Aish polled seven votes for what was arguably one of his best games in purple, finishing with 31 disposals, 18 kicks and five intercepts.

Aish played a crucial role in assisting with Fremantle’s defence and setting up their offense, sweeping up and down the ground to help move the ball along the wing and apply pressure to the ball carrier when Fremantle didn’t have possession.

Defender Luke Ryan earned himself five votes for his efforts in defence with an impressive 29 possessions at 96.6 per cent efficiency.

With the welcomed return of Alex Pearce, Ryan relished the opportunity to play a more free flowing game without having to lockdown the opposition key forward, having 21 kicks and six rebound 50’s.

David Mundy (three votes) and Andrew Brayshaw (two votes) also polled after playing key roles in Fremantle’s midfield.
