Classy defender Roger Hayden's recovery from a collapsed lung will be complete come Saturday afternoon when he lines up against North Melbourne at Subiaco Oval.
Roger sustained the injury during the third quarter of Fremantle's Round 8 clash with the Bulldogs but played out the remainder of the match before being admitted to hospital later that night. He has been named on a back flank next to key defender Luke McPharlin.
After being elevated to the senior list just hours prior, Ryley Dunn was named in a back pocket in what will be his first match for Fremantle since Round 22, 2007.
Ryley, 22, was promoted after confirmation from the AFL that Paul Hasleby had been accepted on to the long-term injured list.
Ryley was taken by the club with its first selection (no. 10 overall) in the 2003 National Draft after twice achieving All-Australian status following the National Under 18’s championships. His promising career was put on hold due to injury, which included a broken collarbone in his debut season. He made his first appearance in more than two years in round 22 last year when he lined up against Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium, collecting seven disposals and laying three tackles.
The club re-drafted Ryley via the 2007 Rookie Draft after delisting him from the senior list at the end of the season.
Joining Roger and Ryley in the 22 are Ryan Murphy and Byron Schammer.
