Fremantle will take on the Western Bulldogs Friday 31 July at Optus Stadium. The game will commence at 6.10pm WST. 

On Friday night, we'll be celebrating all of our lights-and-sirens emergency services for their dedication and hard work in keeping us safe each and every day.

Tickets are available for the clash via Ticketmaster, starting from just $39.

Transport Information 

Friday Night Footy 

• Trains between Perth and Perth Stadium Station will operate every 4 minutes from 4.05pm until 6.33pm.  
• Trains on the Armadale and Thornlie-Cockburn lines will operate every 12 minutes. 
• Direct trains on the Yanchep and Mandurah lines will not be operating before the match, as this period overlaps with the weekday peak-hour timetable when our trains are already in full operation across the network.
• The Suburban Event Bus Network will not be operating before the game. Passengers will need to catch a timetabled bus or train to the event. Alternatively, you can catch the Red CAT and walk over the Matagarup Bridge. 
• The Suburban Event Bus Network will be operating for 45 minutes after the game. Alternatively, you can walk over the Matagarup Bridge and catch the Red CAT.

For every goal kicked by the Fremantle Dockers in the Lights & Sirens game, our Road Safety Partner RAC will donate $500 to Fortem Australia to help provide mental health and wellbeing services in WA for first responders and their families.

Head up to the Ressies Bar at the Eastern Scoreboard Terrace on Level 5 for the perfect pre-game party! 

We will have local artist Stella Kelly taking the stage and setting the vibes for what should be an amazing night of footy. 

Purple Playground (Southern Oval)   
Come down to Southern Oval located in front of the Camfield and get your fun fix before you head into the Stadium.  

• Inflatables: Bounce around on the Inflatable Obstacle Course, try your shot at goals with the Freo Super Goals or take a hanger at the Inflatable Marking Spot.  
• Airbrush Tattoo: Be sure to also get yourself tatted up with a Freo airbrush tattoo or come and test your bean-bag-slinging skills with our Freo Footy Themed Corn Hole Boards!

Located at Lobby 101, 101 Oh What Fun is your destination for fun outside of the footy. 

• Airbrush Tattoo: If you missed out on an airbrush tattoo before the game, be sure to stop by and get some purple paint. 
• Craft Workshop: Try your creative side with the Freo Craft Workshop. This week, decorate and make your own flag! 
• Player Visit: Freo players will be stopping by at half-time, so be sure to catch them for an autograph or selfie.

131 Even More Fun! (Western Podium)
Western Podium behind section 131, in between the City View Cafe and Goodwood Restaurant. 

• Wheelchair Footy: WA All Abilities Wheelchair football 'come and try' and inclusion specialists will be on-hand to discuss participation opportunities in adaptive football for people living with disabilities. Wheelchair Footy will be running from when stadium gates open until the end of half-time. 
• Running Man Game: This fast-paced challenge gets you up, moving, and racing against each other in a high-energy competition. Two players go head-to-head, running on a responsive platform to light up their side first! 
• Soft Play: Does your little one need a tap-out from sitting down? Let them burn off some energy at the soft play zone, with multiple bits to sit and climb about or even jump in the ball pit! With mats as the floor, it is a safe and fun way to keep your toddlers entertained at the footy. 
• Freo Guess Who?: How well do you know the Dockers players? Challenge your mates to the classic Guess Who? Game with a Freo twist!

A crucial piece of Fremantle's premiership puzzle is now in place after the ladder leaders sealed a top-two finish and finals double chance, winning a war of attrition against a flooding Western Bulldogs team by 37 points on Friday night. 

The prime-time stars of 2026, Freo continued their undefeated run at home this season and won for the ninth time this year on a Thursday or Friday night, kicking seven goals to one in the second half to win 11.12 (78) to 5.11 (41). 

They can seal just the second minor premiership in their history with a win against Melbourne at the MCG next week, or if Sydney loses to St Kilda on Saturday, with Friday night's 18th win for the season setting a new club record.

The Bulldogs did not make it easy, travelling to Perth with a clear plan and flooding numbers back from the opening quarter to turn the contest into a dour slog, with the tactic working in the opening half. 

As they have done all season, however, Freo made the adjustments they needed and went on a six-goal run in the second half, gradually wrenching the game open to celebrate their 11th win at home this season.

Star forward Josh Treacy was the difference in his 100th game, presenting relentlessly in a flooded forward line to kick three goals and drive Freo's second-half surge in a combative performance. 

At the other end of the ground, key defender Oscar McDonald was outstanding with 12 marks and 22 disposals, intercepting throughout and using the ball well to give Fremantle great stability in a different type of game. 

Co-captain Caleb Serong (17 and six clearances) stood up at critical moments and kicked two important goals, while Karl Worner drove plenty of offensive play from half-back when Fremantle got their game rolling in the second half. 

Beaten at stoppages (37-29) and contested ball (128-108) by the hungry Dogs, Freo had to be patient with the ball and pick their way through heavy traffic, racking up 126 marks to the visitors' 74. 

Their patience paid off, however, with Beveridge's team unable to sustain the gruelling defensive style for a full four quarters against the competition's best team, with Fremantle eventually breaking them with weight of inside 50s (54-38). 

Midfielders Ed Richards (26 and nine clearances) and Tom Liberatore (28 and six) fought hard at the coalface for the Bulldogs, while Buku Khamis held the backline together. Wingman Cooper Hynes booted two goals and impressed with 22 disposals in a highly defensive role.   

Justin Longmuir conceded this week that Freo's opening quarters have been an issue after losing five of the past six, and Friday night's start was far from inspiring as both teams locked in defensively. 

Fremantle controlled field position with 15 inside 50s to six, but they couldn't generate the quick movement and clean entries needed to break the deadlock, with star ruckman Luke Jackson finally kicking the opening goal after 22 minutes. 

Hynes responded for the Dogs, with Freo taking a one-point lead into the first break but needing to sharpen their game as midfielder Serong called the group in immediately for a firm address.  

The Dogs continued to flood large numbers back into defence in the second quarter, but Treacy adjusted his game and found pockets of space to lead and mark, kicking his first goal as Fremantle used uncontested marks to control play. 

Matthew Johnson launched another from 50m, while Serong caught Richards holding the ball inside 50 to add another and open a 12-point lead. 

The Bulldogs continued to respond when challenged, however, with Rhylee West and Rory Lobb booting late goals to tie the game at half-time, giving Freo a new challenge to work through at the main break. 

The game came alive in the third term, with a turnover in attack from Lobb allowing Fremantle to get their counter-attack game going, ending with a contested mark and goal for Treacy. 

Serong capitalised after a horror turnover in defence from Sam Davidson, with Murphy Reid (22 and six inside 50s) playing his role in the build-up with some soccer skills on the boundary line to keep the play alive. 

Fremantle had control but didn't get full bang for buck, kicking 2.5 for the quarter and taking a 14-point lead into the last change but knowing the Bulldogs would be hard to crack after three quarters of defensive discipline.
