As the 2025 Toyota AFL Premiership Season approaches, fremantlefc.com.au has looked at some of the player milestones fans could be treated to throughout the year.

Nat Fyfe and Michael Walters break records

Two of the Club’s all-time greatest servants are on the brink of creating history in 2025.

Fyfe (240 games) and Walters (239 games) are poised to further cement themselves in the Club’s history books if they play a number of games in 2025.

Both men need to feature in 10 and 11 games, respectively, to reach the 250-game career milestone.

More importantly, just five games for Fyfe would see him move past Michael Johnson (244 games) and Luke McPharlin (244 games), placing him fourth all-time for games played at Fremantle.

Similarly, for Walters, six games in 2025 will see him surpass McPharlin and Johnson, with the latter milestone making Walters the all-time games record holder for an Indigenous player at the Club.

Bolton’s Club debut

Fremantle’s big off-season trade acquisition, Shai Bolton, is set to make his Club debut. After 135 games with the Tigers and two premierships, Bolton traded in the yellow and black of Punt Road for the iconic purple and white chevrons of Fremantle.

The Purple Army will be eagerly awaiting the Club debut of the electric forward, who is signed on until 2029.

His first potential game in front of the home crowd will come in Round 2 when we clash with the Swans at Optus Stadium, where the 26-year-old averages 21.67 disposals, 4.6 marks, 3.5 tackles, and 2.3 goals across his nine games at the ground.

02:48

His 21 goals at Optus Stadium are the second-most he’s kicked at any venue, behind only the MCG. We can’t wait to see what Bolton brings to any already dangerous forward line.

Bolton also needs just 15 games for Fremantle in 2025 to reach his 150-game career milestone.

200 Club

Although Jaeger O’Meara only joined the Club at the end of the 2022 trade period from Hawthorn, he has been a consistent performer, playing 43 out of a possible 46 games in purple.

Fourteen more AFL games in 2025 will see the 30-year-old bring up his 200-game career milestone.

He has averaged over 17 disposals, 3.1 marks, and 3.8 tackles per game since joining Fremantle, adding valuable experience through his leadership role and ability to fill a variety of positions across the field.

Like O’Meara, James Aish started his playing career in the Eastern States, but after six seasons between Brisbane and Collingwood, he headed west to Fremantle—ultimately playing some of his best football at the Club.

Aish brought up his 100th game for the Club in the Round 20 RAC Derby win over the Eagles in 2024, and combined with his previous 82 games at Brisbane and Collingwood, the 29-year-old defender needs just 17 games in 2025 to reach his 200-game milestone.

Brayshaw, Jackson, Banfield, Switkowski, Young and Frederick game milestones

By playing just four games in the upcoming season, Andrew Brayshaw will hit his 150-game career milestone, earning the 25-year-old Life Membership with the Club.

Since being drafted with pick No. 2 in the 2017 National Draft, Brayshaw has made his mark on the Club, quickly earning the respect of his peers for his actions both on and off the field.

00:56

He has averaged over 28 disposals in each of the last four consecutive seasons and has achieved five top-five finishes in the Doig Medal, including a win in 2022.

Since joining Fremantle from Melbourne in the 2022 trade period, Luke Jackson has proven himself as one of the most versatile dual-threat ruck/forwards in the competition.

With consecutive seasons in purple, recording 20-plus goals and more than 375 hitouts, Jackson is a dynamic threat wherever he lines up.

Approaching his third season with the Club, Jackson needs just two games to bring up his 100th career game milestone, and seven for his 50th appearance in Freo colours.

Ultimate forward and utility man Bailey Banfield needs just three more AFL games to bring up his 100-game milestone. Meanwhile, 12 senior games for pressure forward Sam Switkowski will see him join Banfield in the 100 club.

Fresh off a major contract extension, bull midfielder Hayden Young would need to play most of the season, but 20 games in 2025 would see him reach 100 games in just his sixth AFL season.

Michael Frederick would need to play all but one game this season to reach 100.

Goals, goals, goals

The Club’s star-studded forward line has some milestones of its own. Formidable key forward duo Josh Treacy (45) and Jye Amiss (36) combined for 81 goals in 2024, with both needing fewer than 30 goals in 2025 to bring up their 100th career goal.

Treacy is coming off a breakout 2024 season, which saw his 45-goal haul become the highest by a Fremantle forward since Hayden Ballantyne’s 49 in 2014. He needs 26 majors this season to hit the 100 milestone.

It is hard to fathom that Amiss is only entering his fourth season at the Club. At just 47 career games, the key forward has already notched up 81 goals.

He backed up his breakout 2023 campaign of 41 goals with 36 last season, and with another preseason under his belt—during which the 21-year-old has added considerable size—19 goals will see him breeze past the 100 mark.

As previously mentioned, Fremantle’s electric speedster Michael Frederick would need to play all but one game in 2025 to bring up his 100th career game milestone. However, another century he could reach more quickly this season is his 100th career goal.

Frederick is just 14 goals away from the mark, and with 23 or more goals in each of his last three seasons (at an average of 1.1 per game over his career), Freddy looks all but certain to reach the milestone quickly.

If all three players reach the 100th career goal mark this season, they will become just the 20th, 21st, and 22nd players in Fremantle history to kick 100 or more goals for the Club.
