Fremantle Retro is back in 2026, and the Club is going all the way back to its very beginning, wearing the iconic purple and green anchor jumper inspired by our first-ever game in 1995 against Richmond at the MCG.
Fremantle and Adelaide will face off at Optus Stadium on Friday 14 August in the Club’s Retro and Member Thank You Round, throwing it back with matching purple retro shorts to accompany the jumper and give that authentic Freo feeling.
Fremantle last wore the purple and green anchor jumper in Retro Round of 2021, when the Club played Richmond, walking away as thrilling four-point winners over the Tigers.
Fans looking to get on board and match the team’s throwback can find the Retro jumper at The Dock, Freo’s team store, along with a wide range of Retro merch – from the Retro Beach Crew Jumper, to the classic Retro Polo and Retro Bucket Hat.
The hotly sought-after Retro Rugby Top will be available online only.
To celebrate, Fremantle and Pirate Life have also come together for their fifth beer collaboration for Retro Round, bringing back the highly popular Fremantle Lager.
