The AFL today confirmed Fremantle will face Collingwood at Adelaide Oval on Friday 10 April as part of 2026’s Round 5 Gather Round fixture.
The game is set to begin at 7.10pm local time (ACST).
The 2026 season will mark the fourth year of Gather Round, with a total of 269,506 fans attending the nine matches played across Adelaide Oval, Norwood Oval and Barossa Park in 2025, 36 per cent who were interstate visitors.
The 2026 event will coincide with the middle weekend of school holidays in Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia, and the first weekend of school holidays in South Australia and New South Wales. It will also be the round of matches following Easter.

Fremantle and Collingwood have never faced each other at Adelaide Oval before, but the last time the two teams met in Round 19 of 2025, Freo won a thrilling one-point contest.
In the three previous instalments of Gather Round, Fremantle hold a positive 2–1 record.
