Fremantle have confirmed midfielders Caleb Serong and Matthew Johnson, along with key defender Brennan Cox, will all return for Thursday night’s Stealth Game against the Cats at Optus Stadium.
Oscar McDonald, Jaeger O’Meara and Corey Wagner have been omitted for the clash and are named as Round 15 emergencies.
Serong last played in Fremantle’s Round 10 win over Essendon in Melbourne, where he injured his calf late in the game and missed the next three matches.
Johnson (hamstring) and Cox (knee) both missed the Round 13 trip to Bunbury, with Director of Performance Adam Beard on Tuesday confirming the pair could potentially have played that game, but with the bye the following week, Fremantle opted to err on the side of caution and give them extra rest.
Johnson has been named on a wing, with Neil Erasmus and Andrew Brayshaw in the centre.
Skipper Alex Pearce will play his 150th AFL game, named at full back, with Brennan Cox and Heath Chapman named in either pocket.
Taken with pick No.37 in the 2013 National Draft, the now 31-year-old captain will become just the 24th player in Club history to play 150 or more games for Fremantle.
Mason Cox, Isaiah Dudley, Nathan O’Driscoll, Murphy Reid and Karl Worner make up the five-man interchange bench.
This year marks a significant evolution of the Stealth concept.
For the first time Fremantle will wear the special jumper at Optus Stadium for a home fixture, bringing the look and feel of Stealth directly to the passionate Purple Army.
The game will commence at 6.10pm WST and will be broadcast live on 7mate from 5.30pm and Fox Footy from 6.00pm, as well as streamed live on Kayo and Binge from 6.00pm.
